Profile

Profile

Terri maintains a broad civil and family law practice, with an emphasis on commercial disputes, probate and trusts, property matters and family proceedings.

Since being called to the Bar in 2021, Terri has gained substantial experience in urgent protective applications in both the Family Court and the High Court. She is regularly instructed in respect of ex parte relief, including injunctions and disclosure orders, in support of wider commercial, family and cross-border litigation.

Terri’s recent work includes representing former directors of China Evergrande Group in high‑profile litigation brought by the Company’s liquidators. Terri is also frequently instructed in matrimonial proceedings, including ancillary relief proceedings involving complex cross‑border issues and third-party interests.

Given her background in commercial litigation and family law, Terri is particularly sought after in matters that sit at the intersection of these disciplines, including company or property disputes with a familial dimension, and ancillary relief disputes involving trusts and corporate structures.

Prior to joining Chambers, Terri completed her pupillage with Derek Chan SC, Christopher Chain SC, Connie Lee and Jason Yu. She also served as a Marshall in the Family Court for Her Honour Judge Melloy and an extended pupillage with Thelma Kwan (now Her Honour Judge Kwan in the Family Court). She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge where she obtained her BA in law and her LL.M. (with First Class Honours in all her subjects).

Outside of her busy practice, Terri is a member of the HKBA’s Committee on Family Law (CFamL), and the Young Barrister’s Committee.
