In 2026, Des Voeux Chambers launched its Academic Associates membership, a pioneering initiative designed to strengthen the vital connection between legal practice and academic scholarship. The programme invites distinguished legal academics to join our Chambers as Academic Associates, creating a platform for meaningful exchange between practitioners and scholars.
Academic Associates contribute to our intellectual life through collaboration, participation in Chambers seminars and events, and engagement with our members on matters of legal theory and practice.

Finally, the DVC Legal Series comprises quarterly seminars, lectures, and panel discussions on current legal developments and emerging areas of law. These events bring together members of the judiciary, practitioners, academics, and students to discuss significant legal issues affecting Hong Kong and the region.
