DVC is proud to have participated in the first-ever GBArb Youth Training Program on Hong Kong Common Law, which took place across 4 weeks. On top of knowledge sharing, the enriching exchange of thoughts and ideas after each session was particularly invaluable in enhancing understanding across the two jurisdictions.
Co-organised with South China International Arbitration Centre (Hong Kong) and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, 13 DVC members with varying seniority conducted over 20 hours of bilingual courses online with frontline arbitration professionals in the Greater Bay Area, alongside speakers from international law firms.
Members spoke on a wide range of common law topics, including the Practice of Contract Law and Company Law in Hong Kong, Civil and Commercial Litigation Procedures and Enforcement Procedures, Arbitration, and Cross-Border Intellectual Properties Dispute Resolution.
