On 5 December 2019, Winnie Tam SC, JP and CW Ling appeared as panellists in the BIP Asia Forum held at the HKCEC. Their talk featured unwelcome uses of well-known copyright works and trade marks and explored the issue of parody through the lens of owners and users of IP rights. The discussion raised searching questions about our conventional understanding of IP laws and their functions. The speakers shared their insights on international case law and legislation in an entertaining and memorable session moderated by Anita Leung, of the Licensing Executives Society China.
