DVC’s Frances Lok SC joined an exquisite debate on the Conflicts of Interest in Arbitration, presided by the Chairman of the Beijing International Commercial Court, Judge Ma Jun. Fellow panel members included Dong Chungang from Jiangtian & Gongcheng, Ma Tianyu from Rajah & Tann Asia and Jin Denning from Jin Partners.
The debate canvassed the recent changes to the IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration and the development of Hong Kong case law on the subject. It was followed by a lively discussion among the attendants of the seminar.
This event is one of the highlights of the 2024 China Arbitration Week. It was attended by over 120 arbitrators, legal practitioners and scholars from various jurisdictions including Canada, France, Russia, Southeast Asia and China.
