The Society of Construction Law Hong Kong International Conference was successfully held on 11 November 2022 with full house attendance. The theme this year was “Money Talks – Payment & Cash Flow in Construction”.
DVC’s John Scott SC spoke in the session on the topic of “Insolvency in the contractual chain – impact and implications on cash flow & recovery”. He was joined by Richard Wilmot-Smith KC, Stacey Lau, and Nicholas Turner.
John shared his insights on the security of payment, security for payment, claims in insolvency, and the potential impact of the Companies (Corporate Rescue) Bill. This was followed by an interactive and thought-provoking Q&A session with the audience.
