The 12th Moot Shanghai Finals and Awards Ceremony was held online on March 25th. Organized by the East China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, and with Shanghai Arbitration Commission and Shanghai International Arbitration Center as the co-organisers, Moot Shanghai 2022 attracted 56 teams from 19 countries and regions around the world, with 300 candidates joining the competition, and 200 plus legal professions seated as judge panels.
William Wong, SC from Des Voeux Chambers was invited to the Grand Final of Moot Shanghai 2022 as Guest Arbitrator. He also joined the tribunal of the Grand Final, Prof Philip Yang to present awards to the Oralist 2nd Runner-up, Runner-up and Champion.
Moot Shanghai is one of the preliminary rounds of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (“Vis Moot”), and it is the only mock arbitration competition in mainland China that invites foreign teams to participate.
