Des Voeux Chambers is delighted to announce that all three of its nine-month pupils – Jason Fee, Alex Yeung and Han Sheng Lim – have accepted offers to join Chambers as tenants, following successful completion of their pupillages.
Jason Fee

Jason ranked first overall in his LLB degree at the University of Hong Kong – having spent a year as a visiting student at the University of Oxford. He then read the BCL at the University of Oxford on the Merton Lawyers’ BCL Scholarship and the DVC Oxford Scholarship, before obtaining the PCLL with Distinction at the University of Hong Kong.
During his studies, Jason received a string of scholarships and prizes in recognition of his academic achievements, including the Thomson Reuters Law Prize (for the most promising candidate who intends to be a barrister) and the Sweet & Maxwell Edlyn Yap Prize for Litigation (for achieving the highest average mark in litigation-specific courses). His work has been published in a number of international and local peer-reviewed journals.
Alex Yeung

Alex is a Bar Scholar. Prior to commencing pupillage, Alex obtained the BBA(Law) and LLB degrees from HKU (ranking first overall in both), and the BCL from Oxford. He was awarded multiple scholarships for his achievements, including the DVC Junior Scholarship, the HSBC Overseas Scholarship and the DVC Harry Liu Postgraduate Scholarship. He has also served as a part-time lecturer (non-clinical) at HKU teaching Equity & Trusts.
During limited practice, Alex was instructed as sole counsel in various substantive applications (including summary judgment and striking out). He also acted as co-counsel on behalf of a listed company (GEM) in an HKIAC arbitration.
Han Sheng Lim

Han Sheng obtained his MA from the University of Cambridge with Triple First Class Honours. He went on to study the BCL at the University of Oxford and the PCLL at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, obtaining Distinctions for both.
During his studies, Han Sheng received multiple scholarships and prizes in recognition of his academic achievements, including the DVC Junior Scholarship, the DVC Oxford Scholarship and the Harry Liu Postgraduate Scholarship. As an undergraduate, he represented the University of Cambridge in powerlifting and was awarded a Full Blue.
